KIM ELLERMAN, President

Kim Ellerman has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry. He began his career working on oil drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, and the Mediterranean Sea in the late 1970s and early 1980s. This experience led to positions helping regional natural gas and electric utility providers drive sales of high efficiency equipment and demand side management programs. He pioneered the sales of deregulated natural gas for several national energy marketers and built a company of more than 300 sales people to assist utilities and energy marketers in selling energy and energy-related products and services. Ellerman started TEEG in 2002 to help commercial and industrial customers cut costs and better manage energy and telecom services.

TOM THACKERY, Chief Executive Officer

Tom Thackery has been working in expense auditing and cost-control for more than 20 years. Since the early 1990s, his work has focused primarily on helping clients manage telecom and utility costs. Thackery began his career in retailing and worked in operations, facilities management, and human resources, progressing to director of operations for a national department store chain. In 1994, he founded Expense Recovery Services, a Duluth-based firm that specializes in auditing telecom and utility expenses. Since that time, he and his associates have saved businesses, non-profits, schools, and governmental clients millions of dollars through energy and telecom audits and related consulting services. Teaming with TEEG and its network of partners has expanded opportunities to benefit clients even more through a comprehensive program of strategic telecom, energy, and utility cost-management solutions.
